I was about to make a big headcanon thing about Rage Extractor from this post until I noticed more details about the picture and completely throws it out the window.
It had to do with the New Phyrexian Core, conversion of normal to phyrexian mana, and harnessing violent reactions.
Until I saw the robots going in and out of the thing, having it make completely no sense.
